ARCHITECTURAL SPACES

The architects involved in creating the modern and contemporary design of the pompidou centre in paris, were Renzo Piano, Richard Hodgers and Su Rodgers, Gianfranco Franchini nd structural engineers Edmond Happold and Peter Rice, awarded to this team through winning an architectural design competition.  This is an example of the expressive style of high-tech architecture, the bright coloured parts, including pipes, ducts escalators nd the steel supporting frame.  Things which normally be hidden from view, are exposed along the outside of the building, and are emphasized in vivid primary colours.  This has a huge impact on the overall visual apperance of the building, not only does it stand out by contrasting with the surrounding houses, but it also makes the building easier to locate, due to the colours and intersting shapes.  Along with the glass and steel finish, creating  sophisticated, modern and urban feel.
